The housing for the bearings is made from billet stainless steel, making it strong and lightweight. The extended water jacket helps to combat heat soakback, which prevents piston ring collapse so it'll be durable at high temperatures. The ball bearings are hybrid, ceramic balls and steel races. They're made of M62 high-speed powder metal steel races, metallic ball cages, and silicon nitride ceramic balls.
Twin rings are used at both the turbine and compressor ends, instead of a single piston ring. This reduces gas intrusion and oil leakage. Since the sealing load is spread across two rings, the seal life is extended and wear rates are reduced. Large diameter oil slingers are incorporated into the ends, which reduces oil splashing at the piston rings seal location in the bearing cartridge.
